ITHACA, N.Y., April 10, 2022 – Southeast Missouri State’s Anna Kaziska (senior, Louisville, Ky.) claimed two event titles on the final day of the 2022 USA Gymnastics Women’s Collegiate National Championships at Newman Arena in Ithaca, N.Y. Fellow Redhawks Jolie Miller (junior, Aurora, Colo.) and Lindsay Ockler (freshman, Huson, Mont.) also topped the standings Sunday, while Texas Woman’s University’s Isabel Goyco (senior, San Antonio, Texas) repeated as floor champion and Yale’s Raegan Walker (junior, Temecula, Calif.) secured her first national title.
Kaziska captured the balance beam and floor exercise titles. Her 9.950 on beam outpaced Bridgeport’s Kathryn Doran (freshman, Oakville, Ont., 9.900) and Brown’s Angela Xing (sophomore, Devens, Mass., 9.850) who were second and third.
Goyco and Kaziska split the floor title behind matching scores of 9.950. West Chester’s Jessica Meakim (senior, Downingtown, Pa.) rounded out the top three with a 9.900. Meakim was also named the 2022 Mari-Rae Sopper Award winner. The honor is given annually to a gymnast who has demonstrated inspiring perseverance and unparalleled passion for and dedication to the sport of gymnasts.
Walker’s 9.875 on vault edged Lindenwood’s Riley Daniels (junior, Rowley, Mass.) who was second with a 9.8375. Brown’s Julia Bedell (freshman, Haverhill, Mass.) and Texas Woman’s University’s Daisy Woodring (junior, Bixby, Okla.) tied for the third spot with a 9.8125.
On uneven bars, Miller and Ockler shared the title after both gymnasts posted a 9.925. Doran claimed third with a 9.900.
